Reader reviews translated from Spanish.
For those of us who love and stand up for animals, this novel goes straight to the heart. Fidel’s story moved me deeply, but it also made me think about everything behind animal trafficking and exploitation. It is one of those stories that, as well as moving you, opens your eyes and makes you wonder how these things can still happen.

I liked that, even though the novel deals with some very difficult subjects, the writer never makes it feel heavy or overly serious. The touches of humour come at just the right moments and make it a much more engaging read. I think that balance between intense and lighter moments makes the novel even more enjoyable.
